I love writing and reading stories. Even as a kid, I'd curl up on the couch with a book. Recently I won an award in the Al Blanchard Short Crime Fiction Contest for my short story, White Like Death. The main character was a bit unusual and the ending had quite a twist.
For over thirty years, I loved teaching literature and writing to students in grades 8 through 12, as well as helping them with their personal concerns. It was so rewarding.
My first two novels are mysteries with my amateur detective, Zoey Stone, who teaches troubled youth. The third is historical fiction and takes place in the Boston, Massachusetts area in early 1968. Three sisters struggle with their relationships, their conflicts with their mother, and women's issues at that time.
